I have cancer,
cancer doesn’t have me
have one conversation and you’ll see
that I am not my pain, my way
instead I am a fighter, and so much more
So this is my story
a long one at that
but from it I have grown
and never looked back
I will not be defined by an illness, a disease
I will only be defined by the possibilities
of things I can be and will achieve
never being stopped by this disease
